One day in 1938 a restaurateur in Harlem, New York named Dickie Wells was looking for a new way to satisfy his late-nite crowd of celebrity entertainers and party-goers. So he took a leap of faith and paired this curious combination of breakfast and dinner together. It met with instant success!
